I was reviewing my wife's 403b, it appears she has two accounts

• Retirement Plan
• Tax deferred Annuity Plan

I asked my wife what the second account was, but she said she is not aware of what it is. The tax deferred annuity plan has a single investment "TIAA-CREF Lifecycle 2040 Fund - Institutional Class (TCOIX)". Any idea what this is?
